Church Music Group
Anyone who currently plays a musical instrument and feels they can join in with a musical arrangement is welcome to attend the Music Group’s rehearsals.
We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from
7:30pm in the Church, usually between two
and four weeks prior to performing a piece.
Pieces of music, Christian songs and hymns
are chosen in collaboration with the Minister
for most special Christian events throughout
the Church calendar. At present the group is
pleased to consist of several talented musicians
offering piano, violin, viola, cello, saxophone,
accordion, guitar, drums and singers.
This year the group has played at the Circuit International Evening, Easter services, summer and harvest services, the Church Barn Dance and the Churches Together in Hanwell Service. In preparation for Advent and Christmas the group will be planning pieces for our Carol and Christmas Services.
Children and Young people learning to play a musical instrument can join in the Junior Church rehearsals, which take place on a Sunday morning after the service with a view to perform for special occasions in Church.
